This drawing, although at first glance it appears optimistic, carries a deep and touching message.
The giant dove symbolizes the urgent need for peace—especially for the children, for whom peace is a dream and a longed-for goal.
A dream that sometimes seems distant and unattainable.
Since our own childhood, we have wished for a “year of peace,” until the word peace—which, in fact, is my own name, Salam—has sadly become, in the eyes of many, especially among politicians, an empty slogan.
And yet, I see in this drawing a ray of light.
It represents hope—hope for a better future for our children and the next generation.
Hope that one day a path will be found to end the wars, and that the dream of peace will finally become reality.
